I worked with Allison during tumultuous times at LBM (and the magazine industry in general). It was, in fact, my first full-time position out of college and quite the learning experience. At a time when magazines were closing every other day, Allison kept an inspiring, positive attitude that permeated every aspect of our department's function. She taught me the diligence and persistence needed to survive in the struggling industry or any industry for that matter. The lessons that Allison taught me at LBM I still apply to situations in my management positions today. She's a natural leader. Someone that you want to follow and learn from. I'm proud to say that I worked with her. Without her guidance and mentorship, I wouldn't be where I am today.
