I was fortunate enough to intern under Allie from January - May of 2020 at Spartan. I came into the internship not having much marketing knowledge or experience working in a BI team. Allie was a fantastic mentor who took the time to explain marketing concepts, the different aspects of Spartan as a company and showed me how the use of analytics is essential to any business. It was clear very early that Allie was very well respected and valued within the company. Colleagues came to her with questions about data, asked her to pull numbers, wanted her to create data tables, and valued her analysis. It is a difficult task to complete all the research and calculations that go into data analysis, and then give a clear, understandable explanation of your findings. Allie was amazing at this. As skilled as she is as an analyst, she is equally as talented as a communicator. Allie uses her marketing and creative background with her data analysis problem solving to influence business decision making throughout all departments.

I had the pleasure of meeting Allie in 2016 when I was still in college and looking for a summer internship. She took a chance on me and I am forever grateful. For that summer, she was an excellent mentor and gave me my first true taste of marketing, one that really stuck with me. A year later I started a job with her full-time as a social media strategist. She was my direct supervisor for a year and a half, on top of supervising 9 other team members. I don't even know where to begin with what a great boss she was. She is incredibly confident, organized, knowledgeable and willing to help you with anything. She has the ability to be a firm boss and an understanding friend at the same time. It made entering the workforce a much easier transition because I knew that I could trust her expertise and her guidance to help me grow as a professional. She is someone that you can ask questions, no matter how big or small. It seems that every time I do ask a question, she knows the answer. Her knowledge constantly impresses me. And if she doesn't know the answer or how to do something, she will go out and learn it. She also has the ability to convey that knowledge to you and is an excellent teacher. Not everybody has strong communication like that. Her communication skills also shine through in her ability to collaborate within the team and across teams at the company. She has created a bond within our team that is still felt and that makes us work really well together, a fact that doesn't go unnoticed by others. The list goes on... Besides being helpful to myself, she was willing to take the ropes on any role that needed filling at Brafton. At times, she would feel the weight of our entire team client load when we were short-staffed and over-resourced. And she would still have the ability to balance her other tasks and director duties. She took on extra responsibilities constantly to help others and improve the company culture. Notably, our annual holiday party and other company events could not happen without her! Executive members and staff alike knew that they could count on her to do a job, and do it exceptionally well. Any company would be lucky to have someone as friendly, competent, and hard-working as Allie, as well as benefit from her strong leadership skills.
