I rent a cozy apartment above my garage on Airbnb for guests who are looking for a neighborhood experience in Sheboygan with Lake Michigan beach access. The apartment sleeps up to four guests and is rented year round with Summer being most popular. I pride myself on offering a comfortable and accommodating stay with all the amenities of home, and I am always happy to recommend Sheboygan's wonderful establishments and attractions to my guests. I bake and design specialty cut out cookies for special events, holidays, and private orders. It all began with my grandmother's cookie recipe to which I added my own buttercream frosting and creative designs, and my cookies became fast favorites of family and friends who encouraged me to sell them. Karrels Bakery was born, and the rest is history as they say! Working from a private kitchen the demand has grown and sales have increased every year with the Christmas season being the most popular. The Wade House Historic Site is an iconic historic attraction in Sheboygan County and the state of Wisconsin and I was honored to be entrusted with creating a vision for the future of the organization. Together with my incredibly skilled and dynamic team we completed a master plan in conjunction with world-renowned PGAV Destinations, the most noted attraction and historic site planning organization in the world. This master plan will guide the future of Wade House in the decade to come and I was proud to initiate the first phase of the plan with the construction of a world class horse arena. During my time as Site Director I lead my organization through the pandemic, reopened with enhanced hands-on guest experiences, improved grounds with new ADA accommodations, and created revenue generating programs and workshops.

Leading the Deke Slayton Museum was an empowering experience that enabled me to use my full skillset. During my tenure as Director we partnered with a museum in California to acquire an important collection item, Deke Slayton's Stinger airplane- a rare piece of formula one aviation history. We established the Deke Slayton Space Camp, a week long endeavor that included presentations from NASA scientists, hands on science demonstrations, and an in person visit from Wisconsin astronaut Mark Lee. The first year of camp we had 8 students, it grew so much that a Junior Space Camp was created and today there is a waiting list for both camps. I formed strategic community relationships with organizations including Fort McCoy, the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Board, and I was elected to serve on the Sparta City Council for 3 terms. I am proud of what the Deke Slayton team and I were able to accomplish and will always be a supporter and member in the years to come.

    • Citizenship Advocate
      • 2016 - 2019

I proudly attained dual citizenship with the country of Luxembourg in 2015 for myself and 30+ family members, becoming a citizen of Luxembourg and the European Union in addition to my US citizenship. Having been through the citizenship reclamation process I was recruited by the Luxembourg American Cultural Society to help others gain citizenship, and over the course of 3 years I helped 1,000s of people get started on their own citizenship journeys. It was an amazing experience and I connected with individuals and made friendships in all 50 states and in nations across the world.

    • Curator/Administrator
      • Aug 2008 - Dec 2010

As the first Curator of this new nonprofit organization I was instrumental in the construction of the Luxembourg American Cultural Society Museum and designed the inaugural museum exhibits and research center. We partnered with the government of Luxembourg and I collaborated with Luxembourg artists and historians to create the very first Luxembourg museum in North America. It was a privilege to be part of such an exciting new venture whose mission was especially poignant for me as I have Luxembourg heritage. When the country of Luxembourg created the opportunity for those of Luxembourg heritage to reclaim their citizenship I led the way and attained dual Luxembourg citizenship for myself and over 30 of my family members.
