As the HR Generalist for Canada Goose, I worked very closely with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure HR policies and procedures were implemented and being followed. We would also plan for and execute strategies to support our continued growth. I was responsible for recruiting for all vacancies, and I initiated and supported the process to develop a structured and documented training plan to ensure our new hires had the tools and skills to support our growth. I would also work closely with our Production Managers and provide support and guidance on managing performance and attendance issues, and coach and educate on health and safety issues. I implemented a Monday Morning Huddle so we could communicate with our entire staff on a regular basis and keep them informed of our successes and challenges facing our business. Most importantly, I was able to develop relationships with not only the management team, but many of the 200+ employees who were proud to work with Canada Goose.
