I motivate, engage, and empower learners to track and monitor their fitness. In addition, I apply and implement my knowledge and life skills to improve programming and advocate for and lead initiatives that will enhance student success in and out of school.   I founded the Nebraska Lasers in 1995. The mission of our girls basketball organization is to develop a love for the game of basketball while encouraging players to compete in all sports by creating multi-sport athletes and multi-faceted young women. Our goal as an organization is to teach loyalty, hard work, commitment, team work, self discipline, and the fundamental skills of basketball that will become a way of life for these girls. The Laser organization strives to master these skills through a highly experienced and dedicated coaching staff who possess and exhibit exemplary moral character. The program’s expectation is for our players to excel not only on the basketball court, but within their community. Our goal is to build a strong community service program that provides our players the ability to understand the importance, first hand, of helping others in need. Finally, the Nebraska Laser basketball program will allow young athletes the opportunity to participate on a competitive level, preparing them to be the leaders of tomorrow. Show less

In addition, I was responsible for a Management Internal Control Program ensuring government property and resources were used strictly in accordance with laws and regulations. I also served as the interim Deputy United States Property and Fiscal Officer for Nebraska, supervising the fiscal procurement of military supplies, services, construction, and architectural & engineering projects. I further served as National Chairman of the Air National Guard Comptroller Advisory Board providing key national-level guidance to field-level comptroller organizations across the country. I have deployed around the world in support of the Air Force’s mission as ordered by the President of the United States, including as a member of the 40th Expeditionary Group supporting combat missions into Afghanistan and Iraq in 2004 from his base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. I am the recipient of three Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, four Air Force Commendation Medals, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and the Nebraska National Guard Emergency Service Medal among numerous other awards and decorations.
