As a Vacational Engineering Student in the Facilities and Asset Management division of RMIT University (Melbourne) I was involved in the auditing, analyzing and reporting of the super structures that belonged to the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. The Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) system named CAMS helped to gather data of the various issues facing the maintenance of the organisation. The data was sourced from the 4 major campuses located in Melbourne CBD, Brunswick, Bundoora East and Bundoora West campuses. The experience provided me with invaluable knowledge on the analysis of assets based on their environment, safety and sustainability.
