For business customers a new satellite/IP hybrid set top box (business iQ) has been released providing unparalleled content access, market leading performance, and a simplified business management interface keeping ownership costs low.The Content Distribution and Operations department, part of Foxtel's Technology & Operations division, is at the forefront of end-to-end content management and delivery and manages third-party contribution services (via satellite, fibre, IP/cloud), Foxtel-generated content (GV playout platform), platform management services (via multiple content management and scheduling headends including Nagra OTV Platform 2/3, Switch Media, Operative), content security (multi-crypt platorm supporting Synamedia & Irdeto CA, multiple DRM solutions), and distribution via Telstra HFC (cable platform), satellite (direct-to-home, multi-satellite platform), and Akamai CDN.Making all of these systems work together seamlessly is the fun bit! I 'herd the cats', manage the financial / admin / legal / contractual aspects, ensure platform features remain aligned with current and future business requirements, and lead a talented and specialist group of 70+ engineers in keeping the wheels turning to churn out 300+ channels 24x7 with average monthly availability exceeding 99.998% over the last 12 months.

We've provided availability in excess of 99.7% across all mature platforms for several years, supporting multiple CA systems, 27 STU variants and 25+ consumer devices.
