      Worked on the Transocean Polar Pioneer as Rig Electrician during sea trials off the coast of Singapore. Carried out various checks and planned maintenance on several scopes of work including checking, commissioning and running tests on the SCADA system in readiness for the rig to be working in Alaska. Worked alongside Transocean on the semi-sub rig Polar Pioneer in Singapore as Electrical Supervisor where I was responsible for three scopes of work: • Installation of a new NOV Emalgo break system. I oversaw the complete installation of the break panel, all associated cabling, terminating and carried out testing procedures on cabling in preparation for commissioning. • Installation of a brand new BOP Discrete System. I worked closely with the Transocean subsea project team to install the new system; first of its type in the world. I was responsible for all power cables, control cables, fibre optic cabling and the terminating of all these cables. I also performed testing procedures and assisted with the commissioning process. • Supervision of all new EX equipment proposed for the drill floor. I carried out installations and commissioning electrical EX equipment working closely with Aker Solutions and NOV preparing all equipment for DNV and LIoyds Register inspections. Worked on the Ensco70 Jack-up rig and the Transocean Sevco 714 where I supervised the installation of anti-collision systems and travelling block monitoring systems on the drill floor and heavy sack store. Responsible for all project management, installation, testing and precommissioning. Installation involved terminating various power and control cables in other areas of rig. Show less
