  I focus on the management and leadership of high-performance organisations in elite sport. I examine how a leader, e.g., a high-performance director, experience the short term (everyday work life) and in the long term (creating and implementing strategy). I compare this to the national… Show more I focus on the management and leadership of high-performance organisations in elite sport. I examine how a leader, e.g., a high-performance director, experience the short term (everyday work life) and in the long term (creating and implementing strategy). There is a clear focus on how the context of organisations and their culture affects leadership. I examined how high-performance directors and head coaches lead and manage in different elite sport settings. I compare this to the national high-performance models Norway, Sweden and Denmark fit the concept of a uniform elite sport model? I also research how high-performance directors interact with their own national sport organisations and the national funding institution in terms of governance, management and leadership. Finally, I managed to include a study on the leadership of the Norwegian women handball team during the COVID-19 crisis.   During this period, I was mainly responsible for fruitful and effective project management of the Erasmus+ Sport, Collaborative Partnership project, called SPRINGBORD/Life After Sports: Athletes as Investors, Mentors and Entrepreneurs. Igloo Innovation was the coordinating partner in the project consortium. the final evaluation by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency rated the project with a 91 (of 100).

We strived to be World Class. As a High Performance Manager I lead the Danish Nation Teams for several Championships. Danish national team highlights from these are: World Championships 2011: Recurve Women Team qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time in history. European Championships 2012: Took home a silver medal and two 4th places. Olympic Games 2012: Recurve women team finished 8th and individual woman finish 9th. World Championships 2013: Individual World Championship won for the first time by a Danish recurve woman. Denmark also won a bronze medal in recurve women team and a gold medal in compound men team. European Championships 2014: Compound mix team gold and Recurve mix team silver medals. European Games 2015: Silver medal for Recurve woman individual. World Championships 2015: Individual World Championship gold medal (compound men). Also bronze medal for compound men team. European Championship 2016: Individual European Championship gold medal (compound man) and gold for compound men team. Denmark finished 2nd in the overall medal standing at the World Championships in both the World Championships 2013 and 2015 plus at the European Championship 2016.
