- Office work included learning research protocols, data entry, cropping and sorting dorsal fin photos, using photo-ID programs like Darwin (fin-matching software) and FinBase (Microsoft Access), and downloading/importing data from GPS into ArcGIS and ArcCatalog. - Fieldwork included going out on boat routes throughout the LA-MS-AL open and marsh waters (21’ and 31’ boats), taking photos on Canon 60D cameras, recording data from YSI, and documenting environmental conditions along with dolphin behavior and information on data sheets.
