Personal Assistant & Store Manager
-
Aug 2009 - Jun 2013
I was hired as a personal assistant at Marisa when the owners decided to open their new store in Newtown, PA. In that role I did whatever needed to be done, from walking the dog and cooking dinner to transporting goods to and from the warehouse. I also worked on the sales floor as a cashier and salesperson. My duties were always expanding, and soon I was responsible for the basic supply orders. In the summer of 2010, I took over complete control of the business' back office. I handled all the accounts payable, designed and sent out the email blasts, uploaded new images to the website, and performed all the daily accounting tasks. This allowed the owner to focus on more creative aspects of the business, the advertising, and sales during this rough economy. Show less

In-Home Tutor
-
Sep 2005 - Aug 2009
I would meet people in their homes or at a library to tutor them in Math 101, English 101, or Computer 101 material. Usually they were older people returning to school. I also would perform odd jobs around the house. I would meet people in their homes or at a library to tutor them in Math 101, English 101, or Computer 101 material.
