For the last year, I have managed and worked with Alissa at Free Haven Community Initiative. She has supported our nonprofit with strategic planning, policy research, and helping lead diverse, multifaceted teams across distributed time zones. We have been thrilled to have her support this last year, and even promoted her to a managerial position, as her leadership, organizational skills, and communication skills exceeded the other members of her team. Any team would be lucky to have her as she doesn't need any micromanagement, and she enables others to work well with lots of autonomy.
