National Bike Challenge Director

The National Bike Challenge (NBC) was a partnership program between the League of American Bicyclists and Kimberly-Clark. As Director of the program, I managed the design and build of the new award-winning website, solicited and secured sponsorship to finance the program, managed the multi-media communications plan with our public relations team, and oversaw all national participation. As a result of the above efforts, participation increased by 36%; miles increased by 25%, and local challenges grew by 30%.

Bicycle Friendly Business Manager
-
Mar 2009 - Nov 2013
As Program Manager, I led the creation of the Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) program through its initial years beginning in 2009. I was the liaison for all interested businesses and applicants throughout the first five years of the program's rapid growth. The BFB program averaged a 53 percent increase of applications during that time. The successful partnership between the League of American Bicyclists and the Kimberly-Clark Corporation was a direct result of the BFB program and the creation of the National Bike Challenge.
