      Working in school libraries at a well regarded independent school supporting children aged 11-18.Co-managing the Bolton Children's Fiction Awards working with internal staff and up to 15 schools (600+ students) and a variety of authors to celebrate children's fiction. This has moved more online. Our Shortlisted authors have spoken to students via Zoom and the recordings have been made available to participating Schools. The Awards culminate in a celebration of the Winner who is invited to meet our students and those from other schools.Organising reader development within the Foundation including author visits, role-play, competitions, murder mystery games, treasure hunts and FUN!Running Senior School book clubs in conjunction with the Head Librarian and English dept. This involves reading, enjoying and discussing a variety of genres and enjoying other book related activities. We particularly focus on the BCFA, playing games, creating and making.Providing library inductions and support to students, consolidating skills as they move up the schoolCo-managed the transition from "Reading Cloud" library management system to "Accessit" and now responsible for the dashboards for different parts of the school to support RfP and library skillsCollaborating with teachers to ensure the Library is embedded in teaching and learning within the School and that we have the right resources to support our students.Started up a very popular student-led Dungeons & Dragons club in Sept 22. I enjoy table top role-playing with my friends and it is wonderful to see the increase in confidence, social skills and friendships from students.During the Covid crisis, I was partially redeployed to work in the Boys' Primary Division as a teaching assistant.
