Alisha is a natural leader, exceptional communicator and strong negotiator. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she has mastered her core role and built a strong marketing and communications team at PS Central. I've had the privilege of working alongside Alisha for the last 2.5 years on multiple national projects. Her project management skills shone when she championed the National Brand Guidelines for Presbyterian Support New Zealand (PSNZ), resulting in a more consistent and cost effective approach to marketing PSNZ and its service brands nationwide. Alisha is truly inspiring and very supportive. I really enjoy working alongside her. She's a huge asset to the national team.

In this Senior Leadership Team role, I lead the communications, marketing and fundraising functions for this multi-faceted organisation. PSC delivers aged care and retirement services through Enliven across more than 20 sites, and social services for tamariki and whānau in need through Family Works. My key accountabilities include strategic marketing and communications, public relations, risk management and crisis communication, brand development and management, corporate communications, internal communications and sales. I manage seven direct reports and two contractors, and provide daily supervision, inspiration, direction, problem solving advice and coaching. My team handles marketing and sales, communications and fundraising, working simultaneously across a complex range of audiences. In addition to my overarching responsibilities in advising the Chief Executive, I am also hands-on with the work, both because I love supporting my team and because I genuinely thrive on the work. Every week I am closely involved in – either managing or doing – story-telling and content creation, advertising and media planning, selling retirement villas, marketing campaign development and implementation, collateral development, design studio management, website development and management, social media management, internal communications, budget management… the list goes on! During my time at PSC I have built the marketing and communications team from the ground up, led the strategic direction for all aspects of external relations and stakeholder engagement, led an extensive brand refresh and recognition programme and developed and implemented an attraction strategy that has seen significant gains. In this role I was responsible for all communications and marketing activities of the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society. A key achievement during my time in this position was an extensive communications audit that resulted in several significant changes and developments – with positive results for the Division. I was the media spokesperson for the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society. In the absence of an Income Development Manager, I was closely involved in fundraising, events and income generation. In addition, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, I was responsible for driving the development of the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Division’s strategic business planning. At a national level I played an integral role in the development of a communications operations and advisory group for the Cancer Society. This group was tasked with developing and implementing national communications campaigns and strategies and advising the national chief executive committee. Show less
