Notable achievements in this role include the rehabilitation and construction of the historical shrine of Imam Ali Zain al‐Abidin and its ancillary services in Hama, Syria, where I designed and supervised the project from start to finish, including extensive new construction and rehabilitation of the historic building, while managing the landscaping of the general site.   In this role, I worked on multiple rehabilitation and construction projects. I was responsible for reviewing construction drawings and creating the corresponding shop drawings. During the design phase, I worked in a multidisciplinary team with architects, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers. I performed architectural designs, and participated in meetings to review the constructability of the design, and the corresponding safety plans for construction. I prepared specification and created 3D models and performed rendering with SketchUp. I also prepared quantity estimation and bill of materials. During construction, I conducted site visits and performed quality assurance and quality control inspections . I was responsible for assisting the project manager to oversee the cost, schedule, and the scope of work, and prepare the corresponding progress report. Main Projects: - The View Restaurant and Resort, Latakia, Syria (2006-2007): The project is located on the shore of the Mediterranean sea. The complex included 5 restaurants, outdoor terraces, indoor kids play rooms. I was responsible for performing design reviews and overseeing construction activities. - Comprehensive rehabilitation of a residential village ”Bustan Al Basha, Latakia (2007-2009): The design focused on preserving the environmental and historic heritage (infrastructure, public places, residential houses, school and service buildings).
