Andrew and I graduated Epicodus together in the same class, and worked for Conversa Health together as the only two junior on a four-person development team for a little over a year. We rarely paired at Conversa, but asked questions and offered suggestions about our respective tasks to each other several times a week. In this, Andrew was consistently considerate, incisive and generous with his time. These traits paired with his precocious debugging ability* made him an excellent collaborator. He worked hard every day we were at Conversa, and was excited and dogged about whatever task was given to him, whether it was building a large-scale Ruby testing harness or proofing some HTML content. This dedication led to a pretty admirable rate of growth from our time together at Epicodus, which was bolstered by him exploring languages like Elixer and C in his spare time. I think Andrew has a natural passion and aptitude for problem solving. This, along with his being a kind and empathetic person, made working with him fun. I believe anyone else at Conversa could say the same. *More than once I was honestly dumbfounded by some bug he'd managed to track down in less than an hour, and the bug usually cropped up for some reason I would've needed a few days to divine.
