I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Alisa during my time at Chapman and often found myself reaching out to her for a multitude of reasons. Whether it be social or professional advice, Alisa has always been fantastic with work life balance and knowing how to tailor her advice. Additionally, while having class with Alisa or working with her on different projects I quickly learned about her passion and drive. Alisa is a passionate and caring Resident Advisor at Chapman University, who strives to provide each one of her residents with the resources and opportunities to have the most fulfilling and successful first year of college as possible. It has been an absolute joy to see Alisa's leadership skills in action and to work closely with Alisa as her Resident Director. Alisa's ability to make individual connections with her residents in a way that resembles a close friendship is inspiring. Not all resident advisors are able to cultivate these interpersonal relationships right from the start, but Alisa's style of communication and interaction has proven successful as she consistently creates trusting and safe connections with her residents. In addition to her interpersonal and communication skills, Alisa consistently remains calm and focused during emergency situations. Alisa is detail-oriented, remains alert, and follows protocol when she is on call and responding to emergencies. She is quick to pick up new skills and strives to successfully put them into action.
