      Using Scala and Java over Spring with Kafka, the ELK stack and Prometheus in a CI/CD ecosystem to build a Stateless Aggregator Microservice responsible for aggregating external bank accounts under a single roof, offering a centralised / unified digital banking experience for multiple countries. Together with my team we have succeeded in bringing from the ground up to Production a stateless microservice built with Spring in an Event-driven environment. The communication between applications follows a Zero-Trust Policy, implying mutual TLS and several JWTs for Authentication and Authorisation. Kafka events processed and generated are using Avro schemas that we built for each scenario; monitoring setup is a Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana stack and the logging is exported with Kafka to an ELK stack. Some DevOps tasks were also part of the job like tasks for integrating with the provided Jenkins pipelines and configuring the project’s Ansible builds. Being in a banking environment, testing is a central part of every step, besides the mandatory unit and integration tests, I also manage Performance tests, Smoke tests and Contract tests. Show less
