Working with Alin was a fascinating journey. He is the most new-technology oriented guy that that I know, always having a good and clean solution for sorting out issues on the road . He also initiated me into DevOps approaches and Kubernetes ways of providing reliable services whilst leveraging the power of OpenSource in an elegant manner. Thank you Alin, and keep up the good work !

"A standout developer/architect who brings curiosity and passion for cloud-native technology" I had the pleasure of employing Alin for five years at Syncrasy Limited where he worked on researching, selecting, integrating and deploying in innumerable new technologies into our cloud-native, Big Data Analytics stack. Alin’s insatiable technical curiosity and ability to learn made him ideal to learn a diverse set of technology concepts from Kubernetes, distributed databases to data science and AI ops. Alin has the ability to excite even the most jaded of developers with his enthusiasm and drive for showing the capabilities of new technology and it was a pleasure to have him on the team. He would be an asset to any development team.

Contracting (NDA) for one of the top Pharmaceutical companies worldwide, our initial mission is to build and Operationalise an AI/ML Platform based on Kubeflow running on EKS that will serve as the foundation for massively scaling and Automating jumpstart Experiments to Advanced ML Workflows and then to state of the art production environments; trial/triage/adopting and building ML Frameworks and new OPS/ML Tools for reproducible components (Orchestrated Workflows, Data Processing, Training and Scalable/Meshed Inference). Working as a Developer/Architect together with a team of brilliant engineers, we are designing a reproducible MLOps Cloud Platform based on Kubeflow/Kserve plus an abundant stack of cloud native Applications, running in multiple Amazon EKS clusters. The MLOps Platform we have designed is being adopted by many users inside the organisation, therefore the security and multi-tenancy features are key components in the stack. Speeding up the delivery process of Microservice based API's by embracing GitOps completely using ArgoCD. My daily routine includes (amongst other things): - Designing and improving ML Training Workflows/KServe Inference endpoints - Experimenting with various Autoscaling strategies that can respond to increases in traffic for Serving endpoints - Setting up RBAC and Authorization Policies - Integrating OIDC and Authentication Providers to enable SSO across the stack - Developing Custom Helm Apps (Authorization Gateway based on OAuth2-proxy + Istio Auth Policies for securing API's, Model Serving Operators, LoadTesting using Python scripts/Vegeta, etc) - Extending Kubeflow RBAC/Authorization by customising various resources/config - Secrets management using AWS KMS, SOPS, Vault - Spinning up EKS clusters based on a modular provisioning template using IAAC (kustomize/helm, aws cdk) on GitLab CI/CD. Apart from learning and working with various AWS CDK Constructs, I started growing an appreciation for Kustomize and Python. Show less

Part of a team of great engineers, working on Otomi Container Platform. Otomi Platform has in its core offerings a basic, configurable, or integrated stack of Cloud Native Applications including: Istio, Gatekeeper and OPA policy manager which makes Otomi a security oriented Kubernetes Self-Managed Platform and much more! From a Central Dashboard, Otomi Platform simplifies enterprise management of the operational services for small/large enterprises, allowing multiple Kubernetes clusters to be managed across top cloud providers. I started integrating KeyCloak as the Identity and Access Management service of the stack, allowing any OIDC compliant Identity Providers to be used for managing users and permissions. SSO sessions are created through KeyCloak offloading the Authentication to AzureAD and delegating Authorization policies to Istio using JWT standards. Writing tools for static analysis checking to help validate Kubernetes manifests against schema specification and OPA security policies to enable conformance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and resources. Besides delving deeper in many advanced and unifying Kubernetes concepts, I am also getting better at Shell Scripting, TypeScript, Rego, YAML and many other Open Standards. Show less
