I have had the pleasure of working with Alicia Husband on many projects over the last 8 years. Alicia has great organizational skills, strong work ethic, and an eye for detail. As an Interior designer, She maintains a high quality of work through clear communication with all team members, and follows through on items that directly pertain to her area of expertise. If a potential conflict arises during design, Alicia’s foresight allows her to make solid recommendations based on experience and logic. She continuously thinks beyond the scope of the project at hand and easily grasps

Alicia is a very detailed oriented person, and makes sure that her work and projects are done not only in a timely manner, but professionally too. She is a joy to be around and cares for her clients needs as well as their projects. I would recommend her to any one looking for a design to come to life.

Practically a native to the Charlotte area, I have lived here since I was very young. I have seen Charlotte survive and thrive during the past thirty years and can’t think of another place as home. Shortly after college I joined the firm, in 2007 as a project designer gaining experience in hotel, restaurant, commercial architecture and interior design. As a result of working on a variety of project types in both the architectural and interiors disciplines I became the firm’s Director of Interiors to provide a more focused approach to the interior design needs of RBA’s clientele. I am in charge of all hotel and commercial interior design projects interfacing directly with the in house architects on almost every project. While crafting projects from concept to completion I engage consulting engineers and the inner office design team to provide a comprehensive and resourceful approach to meeting RBA’s client’s interior design needs. When not in the office I enjoy spending time with my husband Michael and our two girls. Show less

As a Project Manager with an Interior Design focus, I am involved in most projects that come through our doors. With a great deal of hotel and restaurant experience, I have experience in each design phase for projects ranging from new construction non-prototypical hotels, interior and exterior renovations for prototype and non-proto hotels, as well as the custom interior finish selections for college dining halls & restaurants, all the while performing code research and problem solving techniques for several local first generation fitness facilities, restaurants and office spaces. Generally I am involved in each phase of a project, from Business Development to Schematic design to Construction Administration. Daily roles include writing contract proposals, researching code limitations and ADA/ANSI requirements, space planning, design development and construction documentation including production of all plans, elevations and details. In addition to the above I select the appropriate finishes for the necessary application, perform shop drawing reviews and participate in value engineering exercises.During the course of each project I evaluate production times, initiate additional service agreements as required, and as every project requires, I provide and/or initiate design solutions to field issues. With a small firm of 17 people, I assist when needed but also delegate as required throughout each day in an effort to provide the most professional approach to the completion of a successful project.
