Secco is a busy sales organisation specialising in outdoor equipment such as awnings, tents and backpacks. Secco looks after 3 companies - Khyam, Somerset Camping and Planet Outdoor. Secco saw a gap in the market for an innovative design for awnings and tents and quickly began creating quick erect products.Khyam came to the market 30 years ago and soon became renowned for their innovations within the Outdoor Industry, particularly for tents. Initially the development of the Flexidome Quick Erect System made huge inroads into the small tent market including the start of having poles on the outside of tents which when first introduced was seen as something that simply would not sell. Looking at the style of most tents on the market today Khyam certainly had a vision. My responsibilities at Secco was to provide high quality customer service in the sales department- I dealt with telephone and email queries, orders and complaints within the business teaching me a lot regarding the online retail industry.
