I worked with Alicia for nearly two years and always found her to be extremely helpful and an excellent member of our development team. We had a very close working relationship as we worked on the same product and she would provide me with detailed specifications, via Jira, for each sprint/release. She would liaise with our stakeholders to decipher their requirements and with her knowledge of how the client side and server side of the software worked she would provide both front end and back end developers a clear and concise breakdown of the requirements. This would include any relevant background information and reason for the change, through to the functional requirements and how we could achieve this. She was always happy to answer my questions and was willing to discuss any amendments that a developer may suggest. I felt that she was a great member of the team, always professional, conscientious and a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend Alicia for any relevant role.

Alicia made me very welcome at BioMed Central, despite the fact that I reported from a satellite office. She consistently works hard to ensure that all quality of output is to the highest standard, whilst maintaining a keen interest in her employees and their individual development. Alicia has always been an approachable and motivational manager, as well as being a key team member, whose problem solving skills and work ethic have been a great asset.

I am responsible for managing the platforms and related activities for all libraries in HPE Custom Pearson. This includes maintaining existing platform plans, commissioning freelancers, introducing new project management systems and tools, developing workflows, establishing new processes, writing documentation and acting as the main liaison point between different departments and external bodies, (project editors, editorial, vendors, freelancers, technical and production teams) to ensure that all content is ingested in a timely manner and that products are developed within budget, schedule and all stakeholders understand what needs to be done to achieve this. This often involves explaining very technical issues or processes to non-technical people, organising, contributing, in meetings with project teams to define clear and attainable objectives, milestones and managing project risks and issues.
