Nicky Hirst
I worked closely with Alicia when she was employed with the events team at Hampshire Chamber of Commerce as my department (PR and social media) often worked with other departments for the benefit of the organisation and its members. Alicia is a very cheerful person and is a great colleague to be around. She was always on time and very good at using our database as well as understanding social media and other ICT work such as spreadsheets and word. She was able to design bespoke delegate badges as well as getting involved with more mundane tasks such as putting together delegate packs.

During my time at the Chamber I worked as part of the events team in Southampton. As part of this I used to take bookings for events and training book them onto the system, send out confirmation and take payment. On the day of the event I used to attend the events and produce delegates' lists and badges. I was involved with some big events at the Chamber such as: The Annual Boatshow Lunch, 5-A-Side Football at St. Mary's Stadium, Bank of England Breakfast, Southampton Low Carbon, Hampshire Asian Network and Dennis Turner. As well as doing events for Solent LEP and HEP.
