Alicia has been a valued member of multiple teams and projects for Freedom Learning Group. Most recently, she went above and beyond as a Subject Matter Expert in Artificial Intelligence. Her attention to detail and expertise in the field produced courses with the highest initial ratings during the client quality assurance process. She knocked it out of the park and we are so glad to have her on our team!

Generally, the role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) is widely misconstrued by many industries; however, in the case of Alicia, it is THE EXACT best choice of words. Alicia has proven herself time and time again as a TRUE EXPERT in her field with endless knowledge and potential. While discussing projects and staffing, her name comes up frequently and for just cause. When a we need a highly technical SME, when a project timeline is tight, or we need a seasoned professional with the experience to get the work done, Alicia is THE GO TO person. Thank you Alicia for being part of our team!

I plan and manage data projects within the organization. I am responsible for building analytics models and leveraging on large volumes of data across a variety of sources. These datasets range from procurement, to sales, to supply chain data. I am involved in spotting and managing data development challenges in the organization, offering suggestions and deploying data science solutions to improve/optimize systems and processes. In addition, I perform research and build a core understanding of the company performance metrics to qualitatively inform. Show less

I work on the Bernoulli Optimizer software project. Bernoulli Optimizer software, developed by Potentia Analytics, uses sophisticated modeling and machine learning techniques to simulate and optimize the flow of patients through a healthcare system. My work includes: Developing machine learning models to make predictions regarding inpatient length of stay, arrivals and wait times as well as determining feature importance in these models, writing algorithms for custom metrics and extending the functionality of existing algorithms, conducting statistical analysis to assess the risk of overstaying and to quantify relationships between subgroups using survival models and hypothesis testing techniques, parsing HL7 messages and cleaning datasets to prepare for analyses, running discrete event simulation models to analyze some effects on patient throughput such as staffing and hospital capacity, and training clients on the use of IBM Cloud Pak's Watson Studio and the Bernoulli Optimizer to empower them to use machine learning and discrete event simulations to make data driven decisions. I developed intranet and internet applications using Docker Compose, front-end technology such as JQuery, HTML, Bootstrap, and CSS; and back-end technology such as PHP, Python, and MySQL. I maintained server hardware and software such as Apache, MySQL and SQL Server. I designed, managed and administered agency databases. I produced ad hoc statistical reports using SAS and Python that include correlation analysis results, descriptive data analytics, hypothesis testing results, data visualizations and predictive analytics. I performed data evaluations of various agency data including state Department of Education and Department of Corrections. I produced cyclical reports and perform various other tasks using BASH shell scripting, legacy Perl script, and IBM Mainframe. Show less

I collected, cleansed, managed and performed complex analytics on large datasets containing individual student, school and district information. I produced ad hoc statistical reports using SAS and SQL that included regression and correlation analysis results, descriptive data analytics, aggregate subgroup analysis, and appropriate data visualizations. I wrote programs in SAS for data analysis per federal guidelines and used to meet federal reporting requirements. I developed applications to produce school and district annual report cards that saved the agency 175K in contractor fees. Show less
