  Developed lesson plans and materials to teach Florida ELA standards in grades 11-12 for past 15 years in traditional classroom setting. Taught Advanced Placement English Composition for three of those years, as well as grade 9, 10 and 11. Honed ACT/ SAT Test Prep skills and prepared challenged readers, at risk of not graduating, to obtain passing concordant scores for high school graduation. For the past two years, taught ELA and Critical Thinking courses via CANVAS distance learning platform. Communicate regularly with students and parents using phone, Outlook email and REMIND text. Served as teacher Adviser for the National Honor Society for pat 10 years, raising membership to an active 100 plus students. Club service projects include Angel Giving Tree Project; Girl Rising Film Night and raising funds to purchase the first ever bottle filling water fountain at our school. Show less
