Development Director and Program Manager
-
Dec 2020 - Nov 2021
Friends of Family Farmers is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting small and midsized socially responsible farmers through education, advocacy, and community building. Because our organization is small, I split my time into two roles. As Development Director I oversee and facilitate all fundraising activities for the organization including grants, individual giving, major donors, and business sponsorship. I work directly with the other program managers, and policy director to ensure we have a resilient, diversified, and adequate stream of income for FoFF's work.As Program Manager for the Oregon Pasture Network, I promote and expand pasture based animal agriculture in Oregon. Through recruitment of new members, educational opportunities and promotion through the Pastured Product Guide, the OPN ensures that Oregonians can find and connect with producers in their area, while giving the producers the tools they need to thrive. Over 75 producers across the state have joined the network. Pasture based agriculture is better for the animals, the soils, the water, and the climate. OPN is proud to bring that message to Oregon.
