  For my first two years at university, I was the student representative for my course. This meant that I would be the first port of call if any of my peers had any grievances with either the course itself or their general university experience. I would pass these issues on myself in regular meetings with the course leader. Once each term, any larger issues would be discussed at a larger forum, involving course leaders from all levels, collaboratively workshopping solutions.
