Pyramid is a Leeds based Arts Collective & Charity that works with people with learning disabilities in groups and one to one to discover, explore and enjoy the arts and to develop as artists to full extent of their abilities and ambitions.• Managing incoming emails, answering phone calls & providing general administrative support for the team.• Managing the contracting of up to 30 freelance artists on a termly basis.• Providing support for the day to day running of discover groups & development teams.• Managing the organisations online database ie inputting weekly workshop evaulation forms & personal detail forms from new members.• Creating spreadsheets and inputting data to support funding applications and evaluations.• Recruiting and managing volunteers. • Ordering and stock taking of materials both in the staff office and in the art studio.• Maintaining & developing clear menthods of communication with Pyramid's 120 paying members ie easy read session date letters & accessible event invitations.• Organising cultural trips & co-ordinating artists residencys for Development Teams artists.• Installing and curating large scale exhibitions which are inclusive and accessible for all.• Managing & creating content for numerous social media platforms. Since taking on this role the organisations followers & engagment figures have doubled.

Discover Group artist The Pyramid Discover programme is for people with mild-moderate learning disabilities.This role involves; •Planning term long, weekly session plans with the aim of the outcome being to create a collective high quality piece of art work (s) based around a specific creative brief.•Supporting participants with their artwork, encouraging self-expression & creativity.•Documenting projects throughout workshops to show development of individuals.•Completing evaluation & feedback forms at the end of every workshop.•Encouraging group interaction & offering other opportunities for social interaction.•Managing volunteers. Encouraging them to engage members with the creative brief and instilling the importance of a collective approach to the arts.I am proud to have supported numerous Discover Groups to exhibit work at city wide cultural events including Leeds Light Night, BEYOND Festival & Leeds Arts & Minds Annual exhibition. I have also supported the creation & curation of collective Pyramid exhibitions at cultural venues including Leeds Town Hall, Leeds Central Library, The Left Bank Leeds & The Tetley.Development Team artistDevelopment Teams involve one artist with a learning disability working one to one with a non-learning disabled artist. These social groups were for young adults with learning disabilities who wanted to meet new people, have fun & learn new skills.My responsibilities as group leader included:•Main port of call for the running of the group, ie taking the register, contacting next of kin.•The planning & running of new activities every week & the sourcing of materials for said activities.•Managing weekly group payments & maintaining successful running of the floats. •Making sure members were always as involved as possible with the activities & if not not could things be tweaked so that they would be.•Undertaking any training required in order to perform the role moreeffectively.
