7Hills was founded in 2017 and as School Principal, then Head of School, I established the policies and practices that grew the school into a flourishing institution with a strong reputation. I had oversight of all school activities, including management of the budget, logistics, and reporting to various stakeholders. I was responsible for all aspects of student life including child protection, student welfare, extracurricular activities and the inclusion of students with additional learning needs. I developed and implemented 3 curricula through design of resources, teacher training and creating the assessment strategy. I led the distance learning program during covid lockdown that retained all students and staff. I built the capacity of the teaching faculty through mentorship, performance review and a teacher training program. IGCSE students achieved a 86% pass rate (52% A*/A grades) in the first year of IGCSEs and 93% pass rate in the second year. Show less

Educate! works to transform education in Africa to teach youth the skills to solve poverty. Directly implementing the model in schools and partner with governments for education reforms, reaching more than 14,000 students intensively across 500 schools in Uganda and Rwanda, and more than 240,000 students more broadly. Funded by Global Innovation Fund, MasterCard Foundation, Barclays, Big Bang Philanthropy and many others. I led the team designing curriculum and training for young people and teachers. This included the entrepreneurship curriculum for both in-school and out-of-school youth in which I developed new ways to deliver the curriculum, including on-site training and opportunities for collaboration between young entrepreneurs. I oversaw a pilot that worked with Ugandan teachers to support pedagogical practice and implement new teaching methods. Show less
