  • Asset pritection Coordinator is the Security Response Team commander on the event of a security emergency. • Supervises the search of vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the facilities to ensure that unauthorised items do not enter or leave the facilities. This includes the use of specialist equipment at times including bomb detectors and video searching cameras, these equipments are complex and require a high level of skill. Issues permanent ID cards to employees as appropriate. • Processes ID card information onto a database and activates and deactivates electronic ID cards. • Reports directly to the Asset Protection Superintendent on any security threat that involves • Access Control and assists with investigations of theft. Must make unilateral decisions and investigations if the Asset Protection Superintendent is off site. • Provides direction to contract security supervisor on the interviewing of new guards and gives direction for the correct training on their duties and responsibilities. • Ensures that contract security carry out regular security and fire patrols at night. • Manages the Access Control Ops room with CCTV and Intrusion detection systems and supervises the guards to make sure the monitor and record information. • Responsible for all areas of security at the location in the absence of the Asset Protection Superintendent. • Conducts monthly safety meetings in line with Company policy. He will train and advise the guard supervisors, senior guards and the SRT team on safety issues every month as directed by the Asset Protection Superintendent. • Covers the Security Coordinator / Military LO role in his absence dealing with military issues . • Occasionally he will be required to meet and greet VIPs from the Government or the Company requiring a high level of diplomacy and professionalis Show less
