I provided high-quality and timely operational human resources management advice and services to leaders and staff across government branches (approximately 500 people) to enhance the ability of these business areas to deliver their core business through the effective use of human resources. I was sought out and appointed to this role to restore confidence in the ability of the HR team to provide meaningful, timely advice as well as regaining them a seat at the table when important decisions were being made. Our focus was on producing exceptional customer experience, regaining trust, reducing red tape and culture and morale. This saw our customer satisfaction sky rocket with increased trust and visibility in projects and business decisions. I pride myself on my ability to bring staff on an improvement journey while building their skills and capability along the way.My primary duties in leading the Human Resource Services team is providing advice on (but not limited to) the following:• Human resource management issues - including complex case management and industrial relations. • Establishment management - including FTE management, job evaluation management, recruitment and selection, and performance management. • Recruitment and selection, both the undertaking and the building of policies and procedures that supported excellent recruitment. • Remuneration, conditions and leave advice. • Ceasing employees – developed procedures to capture data, records complaints and gain feedback.• Application and implementation of human resource policies, strategies, and processes – including maintaining HR records. • Performance Management plans of both my direct reports and other employees in the organization. I developed a template that enabled employees to complete easily, managers to monitor and HR to enforce if need be. • Develop and continuously improve HR data and metrics reporting for the leadership team and manage to trust and use in making business decisions.
