One of my most memorable internships, my time at Akin Gump gave me the most wonderful insight into becoming a lawyer. I worked on a pro bono case as well as on Islamic financial legal documents. Being able to work with a mentor, I learnt about the day-to-day life of being a lawyer, the usual expectations and the process of becoming qualified in the UK. Despite an online internship, I learnt a lot from my mentor and from the work I had done - and I am so grateful for this experience.
