Designed and led a large-scale development project with a $5 million budget; directed a team of 25 IT professionals to implement a new sales force automation system. Ensured project completion within budget under an aggressive one year schedule inclusive of requirements definition, hardware evaluation, database and application design, development of client and back office components, testing and implementation. This system facilitated significant process improvements through automation of manual tasks, reduced inefficiencies through enforced edits and controls, introduced new hardware to expedite in-store activities (30% reduction in time spent completing administrative tasks) and provided a single platform for planning and execution of sales initiatives. Co-managed $2 million initiative to implement a Business Intelligence solution utilizing Microsoft Analysis Services to create a Consolidated Data Warehouse. This tool significantly reduced time involved in performing analytics by mapping data from five internal and external data sources to like dimensions reducing work in some cases from three weeks to two hours.Designed, led development and implemented an internal website to facilitate order placement by the company’s sales force. The website provides a vehicle to process sample, vendor, POS, returned goods and car stock replenishment activities. Reduced overtime needs and accelerated fulfillment timelines by enforcing business rules and distributing order management.Designed, developed and implemented the Company’s first foray into automated analytical tools utilizing OutlookSoft software (MS Analysis Services backend). Built cubes, processed data from disparate data sources and developed a tool to automatically generate “canned” presentations for use by the sales force.
