"Selling is persuasion, which is influence, which is leadership. In any field, in any profession, the leaders are influencers which means they are sales persons." -Orrin Woodward, The Laws of Selling Despite the "cringing-ness" many people feel about "Sales" or "Sales person", most do not recognize themselves that they are in-fact sales persons. Whether they succeed or not depends on how well they understand sales and how to properly apply principles. Consider these situations and thoughts where influence (or salesmanship) is needed: Selling yourself to get that job. "Will you go out with me?" "Would you like fries with that?" "Will you clean your room?" "Vote for me! I'm the Greatest!" "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can." Anyone can make an endless list on situations where influence is needed. Here's the common ground. You can't be a leader if you have no influence, you can't have influence if you have no trust and trust is only obtained if show that you care. So how do you show your care? Selling your time, knowledge, and energy with them. In another way to put it, invest your value into their lives. Life Leadership helps hundreds of thousands of individuals and families everyday understand principles like these to help them grow and develop into self-driven entrepreneurs. Anyone that chooses to grow and earn their freedom financially, professionally, or even spiritually though proven principle-based leadership training. How are we solving the world's problems? Not by socialistic government programs or lowering the bar, but by encouraging and helping fellow neighbors live life intentionally for excellence, one household at a time. Show less

America runs on Dunkin'. Though my experience working here, I have learned, for many, that is very well the case. Every morning I would come into the work ready to serve the hard workers in the Chattanooga area. From students attending the nearby schools, the supporting parents heading to do "the grind", and business men and women that's making this city grow and prosper, there was never two alike. After greeting the baker and admiring the hard work they put into our bakery case every morning, and defeating the urge to eat a few delicious donuts, I would perform pre-opening procedures and quality checks to ensure our customers receive the best quality products we have to offer. As my fellow workers would arrive, regardless of shift I'm working, I would encourage each worker to perform efficiently yet enjoy what they do. Provide training and ask for feedback and ways I can better serve them so in turn they grant top quality service to our customers. While front-of-the-house operations was a majority of my tasks. I did not hesitate to learn ways to better assist my manager. Keeping check on inventory, handling tough customers in person or on the phone and taking the appropriate steps to solve a complex problem in our systems or machinery was soon a simple procedure for me. Above all I will always remember the relationships I've had the pleasure to develop with some of my customers, coworkers and management staff. I also greatly appreciate the opportunity Dave Baurmgartner and Bluemont Group provided for me. Show less
