I have worked for GFM since November in their Brand Alley department. My duties include answering phone calls and replying to emails and live chats from customers regarding queries about their orders or our company. Being a customer service agent means I have to make a specified number of contacts with customers per hour dependent on how busy we are at that moment, which has meant working under pressure in order to meet set targets. I have improved my email professionalism with better wording and presentation which helps the customer to further understand my point. Whilst on the phone I regularly converse with frustrated customers, and therefore I have learnt to mediate their anger and find solutions which benefit them whilst also meeting our terms and conditions. I worked for Tesco in between terms at university as part of a team, building strong relationships with customers and staff. My duties included serving customers on tills and the shop floor as well as putting out stock and helping deliveries into the storeroom. I was trained as a step-up and deputised as duty shift leader multiple times.
