As professors, we have the opportunity to observe the knowledge, virtues, and skills of our students. In spending time with Aleythea during her education journey including as a panelist for her senior project, I saw a crossroads of massive creativity, continuous assessments for the sake of improvement, and a self-awareness in service to others that remains unparalleled in my interactions with other students. Aleythea has that ability to create and execute a plan--she is the "both/and." A professor's dream! On character, I found Aleythea to live out servant leadership values with an eye for inclusivity and belonging to those around her. And more, I see Aleythea searching to include those who do not yet "belong." A creative who aims to build community, Aleythea would add to any organization who had the privilege to hire her. I have no doubt she will be wildly successful in any venture she pursues.
