Worked as an undergraduate researcher for Dr. Chow’s lab in the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics. Dr. Clement Chow’s lab researches human genetic diseases through the lens of fly models. The lab studies the effects that genetic variation has on the outcomes of diseases.

Eve and Gene Black Summer Medical Career Program Intern

I was one of a select group of students chosen for the Eve and Gene Black Medical Career program. I participated in an internship at the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital located in the Watts area of Los Angeles and observed nurses and doctors in the Pediatric Hub which provides care for children in the foster care system.
