This was my fourth time returning to Mxi Technologies (now IFS) as a student. My role for this work term was focused on one project and getting a critical part of the project ready for go-live. This involved a large amount of communication with the client as well as the development team to ensure a strong project was delivered. I had to read, write, and edit specification documents as well as test the product to ensure it met the requirements.

I worked primarily in the lab working on testing existing products and helping with problems on new products. I wrote reports delivered to the design team based on testing results. My main contribution from this work term was designing and setting up a new testing setup. I built a custom program using LabVIEW which could read various signals from testing devices. The program would convert these signals into useful information for the tester.

Solution Analyst
-
Jun 2012 - Aug 2015
I worked for Mxi for 3 summers, starting as an intern in high school and working up to a Solution Analyst for my first co-op work term. As a solution analyst, I worked on many different projects which generally involved implementing our software at various airlines. On these projects, I primarily did solution work. This involved communicating with clients to understand needs and adapting the software so that end users could seamlessly incorporate the software into their work.
