The purpose of this ministry is the spiritual, emotional, personal, social and Leadership Development of our ministry staff, Care of them in different areas of their lives, Strategical Partnership with all ministries and leaders of our mission and beyond and Processes and Work Relationship that characterize us as an organization as a whole with its own rules and personal approaches. Another area of our ministry is to assist in the development of key volunteers (eg, students, seniors), whom God uses in our mission to expand His Kingdom and build spiritual movements.   Between 14 June and 16 October a competition record 23,965 applications were made to fill 5,500 positions on offer, to "join the action" and sign up to the UEFA EURO 2012 volunteer programme. During UEFA EURO 2012, more than 5,500 volunteers assisted UEFA’s full-time staff in many areas of operation, half of them in Poland and the other half in Ukraine. Volunteers are a critical component for the success of UEFA EURO 2012 as they most often are the first contact football supporters have with the tournament. It is UEFA’s belief that volunteers not only support the successful implementation of operations but also lend their enthusiasm and a unique host country flavour, giving visitors and participants an unforgettable experience.   We look back with a thankful heart on what the Lord has done for the Church and its many ministries, including St. James Bible College. Most importantly we are grateful for the many lives that have been changed and fulfilled because of His grace. In reviewing our past, we look with confidence on our present and our future as we ask the Lord for His continued guidance and direction.Some of the historical highlights:April 1991 - Church of the Highlands opened the first interdenominational, two-year Bible College in the Soviet Union in Korosten, Ukraine. The college, named St. James Bible College, commenced with 20 students. Mr. David Ilyin was the resident administrator and translator. Fourteen churches, denominations and many para-churches (including Ukraine for Christ, the division of Campus Crusade for Christ Int. with their program about developing personal ministry of evangelism and discipleship) joined in teaching and sharing in this ministry.September 1992 - An extension of the Bible College was opened in Kiev, Ukraine, with 30 students. Later, the school in Korosten merged with the College in Kiev.September 1993 - The third year of St. James Bible College, Ukraine, began with 140 students. Two more classes were added in September. There were now 186 students in St James College, Ukraine. Show less
