As a Security Officer for Kanata Research Park Properties, I provide physical security, facility monitoring, emergency response services and security services coordination for a high-tech business park of over 30 commercial buildings and 3 million square feet of commercial properties and office space. Liaise with building operators, security management and property management for security operations, security system upgrades and maintenance around properties within KRP portfolio. Coordinate projects with vendors and tenants for security system installations and upgrades to meet tenant security needs. Monitor and coordinate site access for tenants, vendors and contractors. Utilize access control systems and surveillance camera systems to assist with monitoring all sites and maintain communication with tenants, colleagues and KRP management via email, phone and virtual meeting tools. Liaise with tenants and property management on a daily basis for security and facility upgrade/fit-up projects, consult with appropriate vendors, generate quotes for work and coordinate workflow to ensure projects are completed to the tenant or PM's specifications.
