I am the Texas Homeless Network (THN) VISTA Coordinated Entry Specialist for the Homeless Issues Partnership, Inc. (HIP) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Every day, we stride to provide more effective and efficient services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We work together as the Corpus Christi Homeless Coalition because we believe that homelessness can be resolved through actions, resources and education.I will be working with the Homeless Issues Partnership in Corpus Christi, Texas. The purpose of this project is to assist in the implementation of a Coordinated Entry (CE) system for local homeless service providers. I will focus on building partnerships and strengthening evidence-based practices in the community to provide more effective and efficient services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.HIP's MissionThe Homeless Issues Partnership is a regional coalition of agencies, individuals, and businesses addressing and resolving issues related to homelessness in the Coastal Bend through actions, resources and education.STORYHomeless Issues Partnership, Inc. (HIP) is a non-profit organization and is Corpus Christi's Homeless Coalition which meets on a monthly basis to discuss homeless issues in the area, services offered by agencies, barriers which are faced, and works towards solutions which can be achieved.
