In this position, writers bring in any piece of writing and I assist them in improving it. My job is to not only proofread and edit but to help improve a writer’s skills as a whole. Doing this up to 10 times a week, I have learned how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of different kinds of writing, including creative work. This position has also strengthened my communication skills and my ability to think quickly on my feet. In this position, writers bring in any piece of writing and I assist them in improving it.
