Alexis worked with me as a special effects and make up artist for a horror/comedy short film, Carlton, which I produced and directed. The film was about a cannibal who eats toes for the very first time and required gelatin molds of feet that were safe for my actor to eat. Despite this being her first time creating a fake foot, Alexis never approached her work as an novice. Instead she worked as a professional and did her research to make the gelatin foot work for my story. I also had the opportunity to observe Alexis on several other short films for which I worked as a production assistant, grip, or boom operator. She is always punctual, determined, and carries herself with a smile. it was actually because of these films that I approached her about working on my own film.
