  I implement individual program designed to develop and improve the quality of life for the individual I currently work with by providing, assisting and supervising an individual that is nonverbal with intellectual disabilities and a diagnosis of autism in the basic activities of daily living (e.g., eating, dressing, bathing, work, and leisure, etc.) and encourage independence in these activities. I work with an individual that exhibits self-injury and aggression on a daily basis with high sensory needs. I provide activities and her preferred choices and sensory activities that help her work through her challenging times according to her treatment plan. I assist her with medications, treatments, appointments, recreational activities, meals. I also provide her respiratory therapy with a vest treatment and her orthopedic aids that help her health and well-being. I understand behavior modification principles and techniques sufficient to implement and document her programs and outcomes consistent with the principles of person centered service planning and delivery, self-determination; and the most integrated and inclusive setting. Which identify what is important to her and for her and her preferences. I use this information to identify outcomes this person desires and self-determination, opportunities for development, decision making and promotes her individual choices.
