Alexis F. Mosser concentrates her practice in the area of software patents. While in law school, Ms. Mosser was a national champion in Intellectual Property in Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court, was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, and was awarded the Justice Mack Kidd Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy. Prior to joining Barta, Jones & Foley, P.C. Ms. Mosser practiced patent prosecution at Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, and in the areas of litigation and appellate law with Mosser Law, PLLC, at all levels of Texas courts from Justice Courts to the Supreme Court of Texas, in federal court, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She focused on business litigation, dealing with a variety of issues, including such areas as securities litigation, contracts, fiduciary duties, real estate, fraud, and libel/slander and drafted contracts and advised clients on business decisions regarding contracts and settlements. Ms. Mosser has authored articles on topics including administrative searches, federal preemption, social media and libel, and business practices to prevent litigation. Ms. Mosser earned her J.D., with honors, at the University of Texas School of Law and an LL.M., Intellectual Property and Information Law, from the University of Houston Law Center. She earned a B.S. in Physics at the United States Naval Academy. She is a member of the Collin County Bar Association.
