I am following up with my final year dissertation project, Microwave Hyperthermia for Cancer Treatment, as the initial results were encouraging enough to continue improving the RF microwave system in order to proceed with in-vitro testing.Furthermore, I am assisting with the preliminary investigations, on a satellite propagation experiment that the university is in collaboration with NASA.

Artillery Sergeant (Radio Communication)
-
Jun 2010 - Jun 2012
I was responsible for a group of 30 soldiers and apart from my military duties, my daily routine involved checking, maintaining and training army radio communications. These mainly involved telephone lines and am/fm radios. This experience has helped me develop better leadership and time management skills. Furthermore, due to the nature of the occupation where situations changed, taking initiatives was essential. Working closely with electronic devices throughout these years I made the decision to study electronic and electrical engineering in order to later pursue a profession in the field.

Assistant Mechanic
-
Jun 2009 - Aug 2009
Worked in a small automotive workshop where my daily routine involved assisting the mechanic with car/problem diagnosis, routine service and disassembling/assembling the cars. Being a small business was very exciting as I was able to learn some basics about car operations and develop my hands on skills. Excellent communication and attentiveness with the customer and mechanic was needed in order to diagnose and later on replace a faulty part.
