I'm often the friendly face greeting people at the door, or helping make and deliver food, collecting and cleaning empty glasses, and assisting with sound and lighting to ensure events run smoothly. I completed a variety of part-time and full-time work with ProjectFive around my education. Starting with full-time over the summer of 2018, I worked on the helpdesk taking calls from customers and assigning them engineers to help them with their technical issues. From July-September 2021, I worked as a Junior Technician, building laptops and deploying them onsite. For the larger projects, I helped behind the scenes onsite to organise and assemble extra stock - like monitor arms, monitors and docks - to help the projects run smoothly. In the time between and after the full-time periods, I did various part-time work to help with miscellaneous jobs, or on onsite overtime projects when more engineers were needed. Show less

As an instructor at Craggy Island (Now known as Blue Spider Climbing), I had a variety of responsibilities; running parties and clubs for children aged 5+, private tuitions, and one of the two adults beginners courses. I was responsible for kitting up children and adults into appropriately fitting harnesses, and where applicable, helmets. Using a variety of rope skills, I tied in novices, or supervised and taught children in clubs to ensure their knots and belaying techniques were correct and safe. During the adults beginners course, I taught novices how to tie in and belay, and safely use every aspect of the facility. I offered coaching on climbing technique, and advice and explanations on gear to equip them with all the information and skills needed to get into rock climbing. This required good articulation of anything I was explaining, and helped to improve my communication and teaching skills. Show less

I aided with aspects of the design process; digitally drawing a pattern that was made into a fabric, and designing a variation of the logo as seen around the space. I also contributed to the design of the feature wall on the ground floor, and co-built it with the lead designer. I worked on the shop floor - mainly on the tills - gaining valuable experience holding conversation and assisting with queries while processing transactions. Once I turned 18, I frequently ran the self-checkouts or served on the tobacco kiosk due to being able to sell alcohol without supervision. Throughout my time in the branch, I often assisted with replenishing the shelves during quiet periods, and was the main partner to train new employees on the tills during my shifts. During closing shifts, I was also responsible for closing and cashing up tills, and sometimes closing the bakery. Furthermore, during the first lockdown, I was responsible for most of the additional cleaning duties for high-touch areas due to my attention to detail. Show less
