Alex worked as party of my team for over 5 years. During which he showed great technical knowledge and understanding of all aspects of IT. Alex performed numerous roles over that time from deskside support all the way to managing our EMEA Network infrastructure which he excelled at. Alex was a pleasure to work with professionally and socially, and I would not hesitate to work with him again if the chance arose, he would be an asset in any IT team.

I have worked with Alex on several occasions in the past. I have always found him to be very clear and concise on what his requirements are which has always made my job a lot easier. At the same time we have always reviewed the requirements and Alex has been open to suggestions of different ways to deliver a solution. He is open minded to ideas around new innovative products and generally likes to stay one step ahead of the technical market. I hope to have the chance to work with Alex again in the future.

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP) this role provides a broader range of client challenges to meet on scales of 1-25 locations, with multiple data centres in operation. Manage and evolve LabTech (ConnectWise Automate) RMM which manages the IT estate of all our clients. Firewall and networking projects and support. Architect, build, deploy, and operate Windows server / Active Directory / Azure AD deployments for many clients. Resolve complex problems across a broad range of technologies. Provide technical sales support and manage smaller projects. Mentor junior staff. Develop & evolve technical strategies which will both scale & suit individual circumstances. Set technical and procedural standards to ensure smooth operations through teamwork. Architect and deliver communications solutions using 3CX PBX, including custom automations in Call Flow Designer. I've taken an automate-first approach to parts of this role, and I spend a significant portion of my time developing code to improve our operational efficiency and enhance the success of our customers. Typically, this is PowerShell, PHP / MySQL, or C# / .Net but I've turned my hand to fixing & compiling custom builds in Go as well - all running on both Windows and Linux. Architect, build, deploy, and operate Veeam Cloud Connect and O365 BaaS infrastructure, serving many of our clients. In 2021 I was selected as one of 37 #VeeamLegends worldwide for my contributions to their technical / R&D communities, based on my extensive experience with many of their backup products and broader BC/DR challenges. I've been reselected as a Veeam Legend for 2022 - 2023 including comp'd attendance at #Veeam100Summit in Prague and #VeeamON 2023 in Miami
