I research, test and implement the vulnerability detection capabilities for the Website Scanner at Pentest-Tools. In practice this means staying up to date with the latest web security research, reproducing it in custom test environments and writing code that detects the vulnerabilities. Additionally, from July 2021 until June 2023 I’ve been overseeing the development of the recon tools: subdomain enumeration, attack surface mapping, etc. I started as a product owner and then transitioned to overseeing the technical development as well. Main responsibilities revolved around Penetration Testing: - the majority of the engagements were focused on web app pentesting - audits and reports were done both as part of a team and as the sole pentester - handled the whole engagement: communicating with the client to decide the scope of the audit, pentesting and writing the report, helping the client fix the issues when it was requested Apart from the above, part of my job was to do internal security assessments: identify and fix security issues in PHP and Python, both from an external attacker perspective and by doing code reviews.
